As citizens of Brixton for over 25 years we have noticed the increase in restaurants, cafes and pop-up eateries which have begun appearing all over the area. Therefore as self confessed foodies we have begun this site as a form of suggestion to others of what’s good, what’s new and what’s different about food in Brixton as well as a reminder for us of where we have visited.
Any suggestions of where we should go next are welcome, as well as comments.
It must be pointed out that we don’t claim to be food critics, more people that appreciate what our neighbourhood has to offer in terms of culinary delights.
Please could you update the phone number for the agile rabbit? Thanks
done – thanks for letting us know

Hi all, I’m Danielle, I help run Beehive Place in Brixton. How can I contact you with info about what we’re up to?? Thanks, Dx
Danielle
You can contact us here or to our twitter account @eatinbrixton. We are trying to remain anonymous and then we don’t get special treatment when we go to restaurants.
best wishes
Hi there!
I hope you’re well.
I’m hosting a popup night in Brixton East for around 50 people this month (23rd October) and wondered if this would be something that you guys might be interested in featuring? Here are the details for the event : http://grubclub.com/ninas-restaurant-nina-restaurant/1769 I move my popup around town and the last few have been in Notting Hill. The menu is seasonal and the evening is supposed to have a south of France influence and to reflect my cook book (NINA-St Tropez) that came out this summer. Please let me know if this is something that might be of interest. I have enclosed all of my details.
Thanks,
Nina
Hi Guys
My name is Lisa and I’ve just come across your site from a friend of mine Ning from Mama Lan. I’m not sure if this if your thing, but I’m coordinating the new markets on Station Rd, Brixton Market. On Friday 4th November we are launching the Brixton Friday Food Market which will run every Friday of the month. We’ve got some fab food traders who will be part of the market and many of them are locals. They’ll be selling homemade cakes, jams, cheeses and cured meats, paella & churros, korean dishes, hot chorizo rolls freshly baked bread and more. We’re looking for more stallholders and really want to encourage locals to sell at the market. Is this something you guys you would be interested in spreading the word about or would you be interested in blogging about it in anyway. We would like to encourage as many locals as we can to get involved in our upcoming markets and if there’s anyway we can support what you do and get you involved we’d love to.
Would love to chat some more with you. Drop us a line
Hi Lisa, thanks for getting in touch. I think this is definitely something we would both love to promote and blog about.
A few questions: Do you have a website/twitter account that we could publish to keep people up to date on the market? What time does the market start on the Friday? And is it a purely local venture?
